Busan

Wednesday 22nd February, 2012
Weather Cold...... caught the shuttle bus to city center, it was a hot 20min drive..... The bus had a very good heater, much too hot.
The drop off spot was the Hotel Phoenix, our plan was to get to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple by local bus. So off we set for the Busan Station, only a few hundred meters if you were to believe a local guide and the map we were given was not too scale, so we walked and walked, no one else from the ship in sight; we walked and walked some more...over and hour later we found the station. Our inquiries about which bus number to take did not help as we were given conflicting answers. We decided that we would leave the Temple til next visit (We will catch a taxi to the bus station). So... we walked all the way back to the Hotel and started to check out the markets that were in abundance.
By the time we had had enough the line was so long the catch the shuttle, we walked to Yongdusan park where the bus did a pick up before the Hotel stop. This  10min walk saved us an hour wait in line.
Busan is a huge city and although we walked a long way we only saw a small portion of it.
